Introducing Bag-Frame Design

Part of Becoming The Light bag collection. An open concept for shared authorship, personal adaptation, and symbolic design.

On 27.05.2026, I publicly introduce Planting the Seed of Light, an ongoing artistic project that combines abstract photography, object design, symbolic storytelling, and participatory authorship.

This publication serves as a dated declaration of authorship documenting the conceptual origin, developmental history, and first public presentation of this body of work.

The project includes:

• a conceptual framework exploring the bag as a personal frame and symbolic object;

• an evolving series of handcrafted bag forms and wooden frame structures;

• a visual language developed through my artistic practice and selected photographic abstractions.
  

This publication establishes public disclosure of the project prior to exhibition and documents its conceptual and material development. Open Cultural Contribution

This project is conceived as a contribution to shared cultural practice.

Its purpose is to invite reinterpretation by artists, makers, designers, and collaborators while preserving acknowledgment of its origin.

The publicly shared conceptual framework and selected design materials are released underCreative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0.

This permits others to:

• reference the concept;

• create interpretations;

• adapt elements into new works;

• develop related projects;

provided attribution is given to the original creator and derivative works remain shared under the same license.

Important Boundary

The internal artistic process used to generate certain photographic abstract outcomes remains part of my private studio practice.

While selected visual results are publicly shown, the detailed technical workflow, production sequence, and underlying artistic methodology are not disclosed and are not included within the public license at this time. Purpose of this Declaration

This publication documents the prior existence of:

• the conceptual framework;

• the initial bag series;

• associated visual expressions;

• the exhibition title;

• the curatorial narrative;

• the open-sharing terms.

It establishes a public timestamp prior to exhibition and prior to any third-party claim, registration, or assertion of exclusivity. Development History

Part I — PROJECT VARVIUS (2016)

My first bag designs were developed for my first solo exhibition, PROJECT VARVIUS.

For this series, I printed photo abstractions inspired by places, people, and objects directly onto leather before designing the bags themselves.

PROJECT VARVIUS was a visual story about the journey toward discovering artistic & personal identity hidden within places, objects, and human encounters.

It explored transformation through the courage required to shift direction toward the unknown.

Part II — UNDERSKIN  Bag Collection (2020)

In 2020, I developed my second bag collection: UNDERSKIN Collection.

This work explored dualism: the relationship between the visible self shaped by cultural, religious, and inherited structures, and the deeper authentic self beneath.

The leather cuts in the designs symbolized the emergence of this hidden inner layer.

The photo abstractions were placed beneath the leather surface, visible only through these openings, representing emotional memory, unseen wounds, and concealed truths.

Pattern development and prototyping were supported by Lorella Ceccanti using microfiber materials.

Supporting documentation includes:

• prototype correspondence;

• studio process documentation.
  

Part III — Becoming the Light  Bag Collection (2023)

In 2023, I developed Becoming the Light bag collection, an evolution of Underskin bag collection. Here, the bag itself became a frame.

The printed photo abstract became its inner presence - its symbolic soul.

This collection deepened the exploration of duality through structural contrasts:

• hand-sewn / machine-sewn;

• firmness / softness;

• visible / concealed;

• darkness / light.

The connecting metal structure represents the middle ground that reconciles polarity.

The cuts on the surface (on the front of the bag) continue to reference the shedding of imposed layers, while introducing a new proposition:

beneath every wound lies the possibility of becoming light which can symbolize oneness, unconditional love, middle path, healing etc.

Participatory Evolution

This work continues to evolve toward participatory creation.

Future sessions will invite participants to hand-sew leather bags collaboratively.

Participants may contribute personal photographic source material from which individualized healing-oriented photo abstractions may be developed.

Each resulting object becomes a personal symbolic vessel.

Each realized work may contain personal visual contributions attributable to its participant, while remaining connected to the originating conceptual framework. A Contribution to the Collective

The project was never intended to become a closed product.

It was created as an open structure for expression, healing, dialogue, and shared symbolic practice.

If similar ideas emerge independently elsewhere, I welcome their existence.

What matters is the continued contribution of such work to collective creative development. Symbolic Intention

These bag-frames function as portable symbolic structures - daily reminders of personal transformation.

They are conceived as seeds of light: intimate objects that invite reflection, presence, and connection to a broader shared consciousness.
